Such letters and pictures will become a stylish, exclusive wall decor in the room or kitchen of your apartment. Another use for them is the backdrop for a home photo shoot.

By the way, if it harmoniously fits into the environment, you can replace the rest of the whole furniture handles with wine cork handles - this way you will add a special charm to your apartment.

Chandelier

To make it, we need at first glance incompatible things: a grate from an old fan, wine corks and twine. Having strengthened the socket of a lamp suitable for the lamp in the fan grille, and hanging wine corks at different levels with a twine, you will receive designer chandelier own manufacture. By changing the height of the suspension of plugs and their number, create new masterpieces.

Framework

Boring frames for photos and pictures can be revived. To do this, we will cut them: into halves or several plates along or into circles across the cork and stick them on the frame. You can also use whole corks, gluing them horizontally, vertically, herringbone or placing them on the base. It all depends on the effect that you want to get with this or that arrangement.

Holders

Holders for business cards, cards, notes, names of those invited to the celebration can be made in two ways. In the first case, a wire twisted from one end in a circle is screwed into the cork or, decorated with beads, beautifully wrapped around with wire. In the second case, on the corks fastened together with an elegant ribbon or elastic band, a horizontal incision is made into which the desired piece of paper is inserted.

Candlestick

An atmosphere of warmth, comfort and romance can be created with the help of two glass containers or glasses, one of which is two to three times larger than the other, and wine corks, poured into the space between the containers. To add the right touch to a romantic setting, use scented candles.

To make a decorative ball out of them, you will need: the actual corks (a lot), a foam ball, a glue gun, brown acrylic paint and a brush. We paint the foam base and the “bottoms” of the corks, and then glue the ball over them. Such a decorative ball of wine corks looks great on a bookshelf, as it harmonizes with books. And if you want to hang it somewhere, do not forget to attach a ribbon.

Wine corks are most often made from wood. Therefore, a wine cork is a durable and reliable material from which you can make practical rugs for the bathroom and hallway. To do this, the corks need to be cut lengthwise and stick them on a rubberized base. You can also use the corks as a whole and glue them together vertically (it is better to use a metal frame as a base). The last option is more suitable for the front door.

If you drill a hole in several wine corks and insert ink paste into it, then you will get an unusual pen. So that it does not hang out and does not bend, the corks should be glued together. You will not only save on buying stationery, but also surprise your friends.

Many people remember such an attribute of Soviet life as “pendants” made of postcards and paper clips instead of doors. After the collapse of the USSR, filament curtains seemed to be a thing of the past. But fashion, as you know, develops in a spiral - a new round of popularity of filament curtains is coming. True, now they are more used for zoning rooms. One thing is invariable - you can make such a curtain with your own hands. For example, from wine corks. Looks very creative.

This lampshade, made of wine corks, will bring warmth and comfort to your home, and the light streaming through the cracks will create a special, somewhat mysterious atmosphere. But the main thing is that it will not be difficult to make it. You need to take a regular plastic cover and glue it with wine corks. Do not do it too tightly - the more gaps, the more light.

Do you usually throw away wine corks or collect them? If you still throw it away, you will regret it now.

They are useful for various crafts. To get inspired for such a thing, look at the photo of what you can do with your own hands from a large number of traffic jams.

For example, completely close the wall in the kitchen with them, as in this photo:

If you don't have that much material, let's do something simpler. For example, a photo frame.

A watch decorated with handmade bottle caps will be a wonderful souvenir for friends and family.

Now let's get down to business. First we have to do the manufacture of decorative balls and coasters for the cup.

Lesson 1

To build such cute balls, prepare:

  • Wine corks (the more, the better, because it is very difficult to stop!)
  • Styrofoam balls (you can find something suitable among Christmas tree balls)
  • Brown paint, such as acrylic or gouache
  • Glue "Moment" or similar (PVA or silicate will not work)

So, let's get to work.

Step 1. Paint the balls with light or dark brown paint and let them dry thoroughly. We do this in order to White color did not shine through.

If your ball is dark in color, there is no need to recolor it. You can paint the balls in the evening, and then they will have a whole night to dry.

Hang them up like in the photo and they will dry evenly.

Step 2. Now let's start gluing the wine corks. Wine corks are best glued to foam using a special gun.

But if you do not have it, do not be upset - you can glue it with "Moment". We start work along the "equator" of the ball (as in the photo), and then we fill in both halves of it.

You will have to take breaks so that the glue grabs well. Some corks may need to be cut a little with a cone to fit into a narrow space.

Now let's dry our crafts thoroughly, and think over additional decor. For example, we will tint the ends of the corks with bright paint, as in our photo.

That's all, it remains to find a suitable place in the interior of our kitchen.

What if there aren't enough wine corks? Find at least 6 pieces, and you can make a nice coaster for cups and give, for example, to your beloved friend: a gift is especially expensive if it is made by yourself. So, let's begin.

Lesson 2. Coasters - coasters for a glass.

  • Wine corks (1 coaster will take about 6 corks)
  • cork sheet
  • A cutting board or something you can safely cut on without worrying about the countertop.
  • Rough sandpaper

Stages of work (photo will help to do everything right):

  1. Cut the corks in half lengthwise. Try to cut exactly in the center, otherwise the surface of the stand will be uneven.
  2. We cut out the base from the cork sheet, it can be round or square, to your taste.
  3. Glue the cork halves to the base.
  4. Carefully cut off all protruding pieces along the contour of the base.
  5. Smooth out the edges with sandpaper.
  6. We love the result!

In the photo below - other options for making coasters:

And another simple, but painstaking version of crafts.

Lesson h. Panel.

If you have old posters that are already tired, you can make a panel out of them. Here is this:

  1. For this craft, you need to pick up posters with a high frame, take out a photo from them.

2. Paint the background of the frame in a dark (in our case, black) color.

3. Now we put the corks. This is not a quick business, they need to be selected according to size.

4. Now you can proceed to neat gluing. This can be done with a pistol, but the usual "Moment" will do.

Ready! Now you can hang a panel on the wall or give a gift to a friend!

What else can you do with wine corks? Watch two videos.

In the first - a very easy master class on making a wreath for the kitchen from wine corks.

And in the second video, admire the wonderful paintings, which are also made from corks.

The level of performance of these paintings is amazing! Happy viewing!
